Most people experience post-holiday blues after Eid vacations. It’s hard to get back to normal routine after experiencing a week full of fun, food, and excitement. Are you still dreaming of the amazing time you spent with your family and friends? Here are some steps you can follow to not let post-holiday blues get you down.

Start with a New Approach:

As soon as you are back from your vacation, start with a new approach. Your energy tank is full so consume that energy and enthusiasm into something positive. Channel those happy and positive vibes into something constructive in your life.

Cut Yourself Some Slack:

While it’s important to get back to normal routine as soon as you can, do not overburden yourself. Take it easy and let yourself take as much time as you need to fall back to your daily routine. Do not take on big projects or consume yourself too much in work as soon as you are back, but instead give yourself some time to adjust.

Relax and Eat Healthily:

Days of indulging in sugary, fatty desserts, skimping on fruits and veggies, and forgoing the gym will leave you out of shape. Once you are back, eat well, drink a lot of water and get some rest that you deserve. Eating healthy and exercising well will help lift your mood and get back to your normal life.

Have Things to Look Forward to:

Think about the things you enjoy back home and plan them ahead of time so you have something to look forward to. Point out tasks in your daily routine that you have fun doing and start doing them more often.

Plan for the Next Eid:

If you have trouble readjusting and resuming your regular routine after some relaxing days of Eid, just know that Eid ul Adha is right around the corner and you will be back to those fun times in just a few weeks.
